This transformation is part of Tadano‘s long-term strategy to become the “No. 1 Brand” worldwide in the Lifting Equipment Industry. As part of this transformation, in April 2021, Tadano announced its decision to harmonize into a single brand. As a significant step towards realizing the “One Tadano” concept, this harmonization is now being implemented worldwide and will be applied to all mobile cranes.
Product line names, model names, and standard color schemes have been harmonized for all rough terrain cranes and truck cranes manufactured at Tadano Faun GmbH/Germany; lattice boom crawler cranes, telescopic boom crawler cranes, and all all-terrain cranes manufactured at Tadano Demag GmbH/Germany; and telescopic boom crawler cranes manufactured at Tadano Mantis Corporation in Germany. For all all-terrain cranes, the new model name will feature a new family/series designation, followed by the number of axles/lifting capacity in tons, engine and boom specifications (where applicable for each region), and finally the production version number.Example:

For lattice boom crawler cranes, the new name will feature a family/series designation, followed by the legacy serial number, lifting capacity in tons, and then the production version number.Example: CC 88.1600-1 is the new lattice boom crawler crane model, with 1,600 Tons lifting capacity (Previously: CC 8800-1).
CC 88.1600-1For truck cranes manufactured in Germany, the new model name features a family/series designation, followed by the number of axles, lifting capacity in tons, and then the production version number. Similar to all all-terrain cranes. For telescopic boom crawler cranes (oval), the current naming convention remains unchanged. It will continue without alteration.
